Copenhagen Food Tour: Culinary Experience
You can chose between a two-hour and a three-hour food tour. The tour consists of two parts: a city tour and tastings. We begin at City Hall Square with a guided tour covering history, culture and architecture. Next, we taste Danish pastries, after which we explore more of the city and finish with smørrebrød, the classic traditional Danish lunch. If you choose the three-hour tour, Danish street food is added — either the classic Danish hot dog or something else. We start at City Hall Square, where we hear about the history and development of Copenhagen. We then enter the medieval city, walking through Pisserenden and the Latin Quarter, where Copenhagen University and the Church of Our Lady are located, among other places. We visit Gråbrødretorv. Copenhagen is considered one of the gourmet capitals of the world. We will hear more about this and stop two or three times to taste Danish specialities. The exact places where we stop depend on the length of the tour and the number of participants. The tour can last two or three hours: Two hours: two stops — Danish pastries and smørrebrød. Three hours: three stops — street food, Danish pastries and smørrebrød. The food supplement is DKK 300 per person for the two-hour tour and DKK 400 per person for the three-hour tour. One drink is included in each option; with the smørrebrød, a small glass of aquavit is also included.
